Kaido
A name I've built under for years. Not a legal entity, not a costume I'll drop — an artifact of my own history that I'm keeping. The face behind it is mine, and I take the responsibility that comes with putting it here.
Team — then and now
In the pre-AI era, "team" meant what you'd expect: people I believed in, building together. That era was real and I don't disown it.
Now the team is a fleet of agents — AI playing on my side. The domain didn't lie; its referent changed. Today the leverage is one operator force-multiplied by machines that execute, search, and build under direction. That's not a confession of being alone. It's the actual operating model, and it's why one person can run markets, a research corpus, and several products at once.
Why I speak as "I"
Because the decisions, the risk, and the flag are mine. The agents execute; I make the call. I'm not recruiting for someone else's company and I'm not looking for a desk. I operate under my own flag.
thebay — the humans
The people who do resemble a crew aren't employees — they're sovereign operators with rare capabilities, gathered under a separate flag: thebay. A harbor, not a payroll. If kaido.team is me and my agents, thebay is the roster of privateers who sail their own ships and dock here by choice.
